Gift her an ‘experience’ this season
So, Valentine’s Day is just a few weeks away and as a guy, are you racking your brains to give your loved one a super gift?
Even as you go shop-hopping to zero in on that best gift that she’d fall for, we list out a few things other than gifting that could have make her, well, go weak at the knees…
- Learn her favourite song by heart. Lyrics, tune, improvisations, et al.

And sing it for her! Agreed, you might not be a great singer and restrict your compositions to the bathroom, but she’d just appreciate you for the effort you’ve put in. The paatu classes that your folks sent you when you were young might just come in handy at this juncture. So, go ahead, prove that ‘sing’h is king.
- Wear her favourite colour when you take her out on the special day — that’ll please her no end. OK, if her favourite colour is pink, forget it. Just grab the same clothes that you wore when you first took her out/proposed to her and, if they still fit you, just go for it. Girls notice, and applaud, such small things.
- She might like mushy romance and you might actually detest it. But, during this season of love, it’s all about opting for her favourites and not yours. So ditch your penchant for thrillers and action and go in for mush. Borrow a DVD of her favourite movie and spend a quiet evening with the remote and romance. Throw in pizza, chips and some soft drinks. It could just work much more in your favour than an expensive candle-night dinner.
